Surfaces

  • Plain Surface - Standard on all grating products except aluminum I-Bar
  • Serrated Surface - Available on all grating products except aluminum I-Bar.  Recommended when oil, water or chemicals are present.
  • Slip-Resistant Surface - Available on all grating products

-Slip Resistant Metallic Coating:  May be in the form of the plasma stream deposition of aluminum-on-aluminum or steel-on-steel, or may be in the form of a CNC laser deposition process.

-Mebac® Slip Resistant Surface:  A patented process for bonding aluminum oxide grit to a metal base, either steel or aluminum.  Mebac® is the most durable non-slip surface available today.  Please note, that the grating bearing bars will have some random application of the Mebac® surface on their sides, which may be undesirable if the grating is used for architectural purposes.

Load Tables

Load tables enable the user to determine the actual uniform and/or concentrated load carrying capacity and a corresponding deflection for each size/type of bar grating at a given unsupported span.  Please reference the multitude of load tables included in this website to determine your specific needs.
